What is ‘The Net’?

Earley Youth Net grew out of the youth work of St Peter’s, Earley and Trinity, Lower Earley . It is a group of young people who meet together each fortnight to talk about the place that God has in their lives and to grow together in Christian discipleship. Everyone is welcome, whatever stage of journey of faith.

When do we meet?

We meet every fortnight on a Wednesday evening (2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month) at the Trinity church, Lower Earley (Near Asda), from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm.

We meet and have a time together for a chat then an icebreaker or challenge followed by a time of worship. This could either be with the Youth Net Band or in small groups.

  Following worship, the small groups meet and talk about an area of their faith, exploring what the bible says through a variety of ways and what the impact should be in our lives.

  Each of the groups meets with two leaders but everyone is encouraged to take part in the group helping to lead parts of the session. Leaders like to take a back seat and let the young people explore topics which are of relevance to their lives

  We also will be meeting socially this term with the young people from Lower Earley Baptist Church at Centrepoint (next to the church) on alternate Saturdays. This could be anything from a game of football to a video evening. Sessions cost £1 and there is a tuck shop. No God slot! Just time to hang out with your friends. The meeting is from 7:15 to 9:00 pm .
