Pastoral Care

We aim to create within individuals a sense of value and belonging to the Church family, to care for their needs and to enable them to use their gifts within the Church.

Pastoral Groups

For the past ten years Trinity has run a series of pastoral groups, where each member and adherent was linked to a pastoral group, with a pastoral leader. Most groups were geographically based so that a pastoral group leader was overseeing a group of people in the same road or immediate area. Over time the groups took on different identities and styles, some meeting regularly for study or socially, others not meeting together at all.

Growing Together 98

After many months reviewing and praying and preparation, we have decided in 1998 to renew and re-launch our pastoral care system, giving greater flexibility in helping people care for one another in Trinity, recognising the emerging patterns of the pastoral groups, and the desire of people to belong to a style of group that best suits them, rather than the style that is in their vicinity.

Thus we are offering the people of the church three styles of pastoral care:

bulletHouse groups - meeting regularly for bible study and discussion
bulletSocial groups - meeting 3 or 4 times a year in a social gathering
bulletPastoral links - not a group but a person to keep in touch with you and be a point of contact within the Church.
