Beating the Bounds

On July 7th 2002 Trinity Church members celebrated the 15th anniversary of the church by participating in the ancient tradition of 'Beating the Bounds' for the 3rd time. This involves walking around the full perimeter of the parish (about 5 miles) stopping at various places to proclaim landmarks on the extremities of the parish boundary, as well as for refreshments of course.

This time we also had to battle for part of the parish with members of St Nicholas who claimed the island in Carshalton way for their parish!! But we won through in the end.

Finally it was back to Trinity for food and a very welcome cup of tea. A good time was had by all.

You can find more details of the Parish on our Parish Page
