Monochrome Circle
The present Mono group was
formed by the joining of the 2 previous mono circles which had existed for
over 4o years .
We have 10 people contributing and 12 folios are circulating during the year at 1 monthly intervals. The size of print can be up to 10" x 8". Members are invited to comment and criticise each other's work and vote as the folios are passed along. There are no restrictions on the subject matter chosen apart from 1 month of the year when a set subject is selected. In the eleventh issue of the year we have a print with essay or short descriptive passage feature. Digital is in the ascendency now though a minority of members still include prints made in the darkroom. A warm welcome awaits any person who would wish to become involved in this Monochrome circle which stretches across the country as far south as Canterbury and north to Durham, west to the Wirral and east to Scarborough.
