Our Minister is Rev Jonathan Salmon..

Hi there, welcome to the Trinity Earley website.  I started as Minister here in September 2007 having spent four years as a curate in an inner city Anglican church in Bradford .  Prior to this I’d been involved in international development, working primarily for the UK Government, as an applied social anthropologist and natural resources adviser living and working in several African countries, most notably Zimbabwe, Uganda and Tanzania.   Life has been wonderfully varied and I’ve been privileged to meet many different and fascinating people and to spend time in some amazing places.  I became a Christian in Zimbabwe when I was 19 and have been involved in a variety of churches over the years from house churches and Anglican cell churches in the UK , to the Anglican Cathedral in Kampala and the International Baptist Church in Dar es Salaam .   I studied Anthropology at Swansea and Sussex universities and theology at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford .

I have a wonderful family.  Jo, my wife, trained as a textile designer and initially worked in London before I started finding jobs in odd locations!  Most recently, in Bradford she worked for Christians Against Poverty, as a debt counsellor and set up and managed the South Bradford Centre for CAP in partnership with our church.  My kids, Jack (16), Lily (14) and Nancy (11) are great fun and full of life and are settling in well after yet another move!

I enjoy loads of hobbies and interests – at the moment these include long distance running, squash and tennis, and photography as well as a great love for the outdoors.  A key question for me is how well I use these to push more into the person God has made me to be and how to use them to bring Him glory.

I am excited by the adventure ahead at Trinity and in Lower Earley .
